History
In 1982 Don and Don Ray Winter founded Winter Mud Company in Guymon, Oklahoma. Winter Mud Company has been a leading drilling fluid company in the SW Kansas and the Oklahoma/Texas Panhandle for decades and has expanded operations throughout Oklahoma and Texas. Winter Mud Company was started during a tremendous slow down in the oil business but survived and was able to grow to its current size. Since Don began his career, Winter Mud has run mud for some of the giants in the oil and gas industry; Shell Oil, Texaco, Phillips, Anadarko, Sinclair, Shamrock, Mobil, Jones Energy, FourPoint and Linn Energy, just to name a few.
